Rich Brooks President
Rich began developing Web sites in 1996 as “b1 communications” out of his apartment in Jamaica Plain, MA. During the early days of b1 he went on a cross-country roadtrip with a laptop and a digital camera, building a guerilla Web site of his adventures.
Moving to Portland, Maine, a year later he collaborated with Ryan Goan–later hired–and re-branded the company as flyte new media.
Rich seems to think a lot of himself and calls himself an “Internet Marketing Expert.” Apparently, he likes to talk to himself in the third person as well.
He writes our monthly email newsletter, flyte log, and flyte blog: web marketing for small business. He’s also an Expert Blogger at FastCompany.com and a Featured Blogger at MaineBusiness.com.
Rich loves to hear the sound of his own voice, so you can often hear him speaking in front of both local and national audiences on Web design and Internet marketing. He teaches a class at the University of Southern Maine’s Center for Continuing Education called “Web Marketing for Entrepreneurs.”
Rich is also the “tech expert” on 207, an evening news program on WCSH-6 (NBC).
Rich is also active in social media, and you can follow him on Twitter, friend him on Facebook, get LinkedIn with him, or find him on a dozen other sites as well.
He welcomes your questions and looks forward to discussing your Web site.
